I was craving for some tang hoon/ glass noodles/ bean thread soup so I made this little hot pot noodles a Singapore street food minus the pot.
The soup consisted of pork balls, ground pork, fried sole, poached egg, dong chai (a kind of preserved veggie that comes on an earthen jar), dried shallots and fried garlic. It would have been better if I hadn’t forgotten to cut up the dried sole and mix them into the ground pork. Also some braised, sliced shitake mushrooms would have been great. Now I am gonna dig in.
