Homemade Crockpot Applesauce

Q: What do I do with five Washington/ honey crisp (don’t remember) regular apples, four organic Fuji apples and one Chinese pear in the fridge that really needed to be eaten to free up some space in the fridge?

A: I made homemade applesauce with the skin peeled, lemon juice (I just splash some on without measuring) and a cinnamon stick in the crock pot.

After cooking the fruits in the crock pot on low for at least six hours. I let everything cool down for a few hours after turning the heat off and blended them in a food processor. I did not add all of the juice in the crock pot as it would made the applesauce too watery. The extra bit of cider in the crock pot ended in my tummy, haha!

There is no added sugar or sweetener. The cinnamon stick and apples already made the apple sauce very sweet. Half a stick of cinnamon would have been enough if you prefer the apple sauce to be less “cinnamony”.
